MAKO-DREW S.C Maria Kozak, Ryszard Machnik, has received a grant from the European Union for the project "Estimation of the GOZ-transformation business model in MAKO-DREW S.c.".

The project aims to transform the operations of MAKO - DREW S.C Maria Kozak, Ryszard Machnik towards sustainable development, in accordance with the principles of the Circular Economy (GOZ).

The goal of the project is to create and implement a business model that will allow the company to minimize waste and maximize the efficiency of resource use. The project assumes that products and materials will be used in a cyclical manner with minimal impact on the environment. The project aims to reduce waste by focusing on the reuse of materials and increasing resource efficiency by using raw materials and materials in a more sustainable way.

The undertaking involves a comprehensive audit of the company's activities, covering technological, organizational, energy, logistics, production, product, financial, economic, sales, and market position analysis - in terms of the possibility of implementing GOZ.

Based on the collected data, a business model was developed indicating possible directions for the company's transformation towards sustainable development, rational use of resources, and minimizing the negative impact on the environment.

The scope of activities within the transformation towards GOZ includes:

• increasing the use of secondary raw materials, by-products, and bio-raw materials,
• reducing the amount of waste generated,
• increasing the use of waste in production processes,
• reducing the amount of primary electrical and/or thermal energy consumed,
• increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the energy consumption structure,
• increasing product durability through repairs or re-use,
• introducing new, environmentally friendly materials or solutions allowing for reducing the consumption of materials, energy, or emissions at the recipients (consumers).
